The Area
A Mountain Oasis With So Much to Do!
Estrella Mountain Ranch is about 17 miles from downtown Phoenix on Estrella Parkway in Goodyear. It provides a lakeside mountain oasis nestled in the Sierra Estrella Mountains, along the Sonoran Desert Valley. There are hiking trails, bike paths, basketball, volleyball, pickleball and tennis courts. Estrella is home to a Jack Nicklaus-designed Championship golf course, The Golf Club of Estrella.

Golf
The starting point to some of Arizona’s most scenic landscapes, the Golf Club of Estrella welcomes beginners and seasoned players to experience desert golfing at its best. Operated by Troon, golf at Estrella is daily fee or an annual membership, which allows special rates and access. This par-72, 18-hole champion golf course, designed by the award-winning Nicklaus Design, is one of Estrella’s signature experiences. The Player’s Grill & Patio serves American fare and drinks daily.
Spring Training
The Phoenix metropolitan area is a baseball fan’s paradise, with 10 stadiums hosting 15 Major League Baseball teams, providing plenty of opportunities to catch a Spring Training game right here in Arizona. The 10 state-of-the art stadiums are all within easy driving distance of Estrella, making the bases fully loaded for fun this spring.
Mountain Biking
A major competitive mountain bike track located in Estrella Mountain Regional Park. The track consists of two loops totaling 13 miles. The long loop is 8 miles and is challenging, but may be used by persons of all skill levels. The technical loop is 5 miles and is recommended for experts only.
Hiking Steps Away
Estrella Mountain Regional Park Trails range in length from 2.3 miles to 8.8 miles and range in difficulty from easy to strenuous. If you are looking for an easy, relatively short hike, the 2.4 mile Baseline Trail is recommended. If you are looking for a long, all day hike, the Pederson Trail encompasses 8.7 miles.
